Sugar Storage And Distribution Co Ltd (BSSD) is engaged
in the receipt, storage and distribution of bagged sugar.
BSSD distributes to the Sugar Estates empty Polypropylene
and laminated bags of 25kg, 50kg and 1 tonne, which
have been either imported or purchased from The Mauritius
Jute and Textile Factory through The Mauritius Sugar
Syndicate (MSS). BSSD then receives special sugar (both
raw and refined) in these bags from the Sugar Estates
for distribution to the local and overseas markets at
the request of the MSS. Imported white refined sugar
as well as special raw sugar are also stored in BSSD
warehouses for distribution to the local market. |
